Wiltshire is where you will find some of the country’s most important heritage sites, like Old Sarum, Salisbury Cathedral with its majestic spire and the ancient stone circles of Stonehenge and Avebury.
Wiltshire is also the home of some of the grandest stately homes and gardens – Wilton House, Longleat and Broadlands. On a smaller scale, Avebury Manor and Mompesson House which is in the Cathedral Close.
Salisbury has a racecourse with regular meetings and there is a wealth of excellent shops, museums and restaurants around the town. There is never a shortage of things to do.
